A major pharmacy is pulling a popular heartburn drug off its shelves over cancer concerns.

CVS Pharmacy locations are removing Zantac from its stores, along with the company’s generic version of the medication, after the Food and Drug Administration issued a report saying that medicines containing Ranitidine (medication that reduces stomach acid) contains low levels of an impurity that may cause cancer.

Despite CVS’s decision to stop selling the medicine, Zantac and its generic counterpart have not been recalled. CVS said customers who have purchased the product may return the medication for a refund.
