A woman has been arrested after robbing a northern Kentucky bank and fleeing on a bike.
Saturday morning at approximately 9:00, 45-year-old Tamara Thompson entered the Fifth Third Bank in Kenton County and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to media reports. After taking the cash, Thompson fled on foot into a wooded area.
Police soon arrested Thompson as she pushed a bicycle in a residential neighborhood near the bank.
Authorities found a large amount of money and a change of clothes in her backpack, and after being identified by bank employees, Thompson admitted to the robbery.
Thompson was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. She was lodged in the Kenton County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
