The Grayson County Extension Office will hold a Rinse & Return program at their office at 123 Commerce Drive in Leitchfield in the front parking lot on Thursday, September 12th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The Rinse & Return program is a free, voluntary cooperative program sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Agri-Business Association of Kentucky. The program allows for the proper recycling of containers used to store pesticides that cannot be recycled with ordinary household plastic containers. This program reduces the amount of pesticides that may enter landfills, waterways, or that are being disposed of by other means. There is no sign-up or advanced registration required. Those bringing containers should have them pressure rinsed or triple rinsed in accordance with KDA guidelines. For more information about the Rinse & Return program, you may call the Grayson County Extension Office at (270) 259-3492.
