Kentucky State Police is investigating after a deadly residential fire in LaRue County.
Wednesday afternoon at approximately 4:45, the State Fire Marshall requested assistance from state police detectives investigating the fire at 618 Otter Creek Road, in Buffalo.
KSP Post 4 spokesman Scotty Sharp said the preliminary investigation revealed that upon fire departments arriving at the scene, a victim, an adult female, was located inside the home. Sharp said the victim’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for autopsy and positive identification.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
