Jason Barry Wilkerson, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 11, 2019) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on February 22, 1949 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Raymond Wilkerson and Connie Haycraft Basham.
He worked as a lineman for Warren Rural Electric Company for 13 years and for LG&E for 10 years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and noodling and was a devoted member of the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Barry Wilkerson of Elizabethtown, KY; a grandson, Joshua Jayce Rivera of Anneta, KY; two brothers, Dennie Wilkerson of Clarkson, KY and Thomas Wilkerson (Sue) of Louisville, KY; a niece, Shannon Stacy of Goshen, KY; a nephew, Danny Wilkerson (Mona) of Louisville, KY; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Danielle, Gabrielle, Gregory, Amber and Jacob Wilkerson and Levin, Zerren and Elan Stacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. CST on Wednesday, (May 22, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Garry Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mulberry Flats Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
