At Monday night’s Leitchfield City Council meeting, it was announced that the construction phase of the renovation of the old Rite Aid building into the new City Hall and Leitchfield Police Department headquarters will only take about six months.

Mayor Rick Embry said the project’s architect firm, Brandstetter Carroll, told him the project would not take up to 15 months as originally stated. The shrinking of the time frame to complete the project will result in Multivista, a full-service construction site photography provider, lowering its $9,100 bid to provide its services to the city.

The new bid from Multivista has not yet been received by city officials.

Multivista’s online platform gives instant access to a complete photographic record of the construction project anytime, anywhere, according to the company’s website. All photos of the project are available in inspection-grade detail, and indexed according to the project plans by location and date.

Multivista’s measurable 3D Images give users the ability to remotely measure length and depth with high levels of accuracy, according to the company. Powered by the professional-grade BLK3D Imager, these highly accurate measurable images document critical infrastructure with precision.

Trained Multivista construction photographers capture comprehensive measurable 3D images of the job site, link them to interactive project plans, and make them available from anywhere using Multivista’s cloud-based platform.

Multivista representative Ernest Wrentmore said the company has participated in several jail expansions around the state, including detention centers in Rowan County, Laurel County and most recently Oldham County. The company also photographed the progression of the construction of the football field and track project at Clark County High School.

The company has worked on over 40 construction projects at the University of Kentucky and is currently involved in over 100 construction developments in Kentucky, Wrentmore said.

The Leitchfield City Council will vote on employing Multivista when the amended bid is received.
