The man seen leaving a house fire that killed his small child has been captured and charged with his son’s murder.

Kentucky State Police say Vaughn Brock, 26, of London, has been charged with murder and first-degree arson following the death of his two-year-old son Joseph Brock.

On Saturday morning at approximately 1:00, Kentucky State Police responded to the house fire at a Laurel County mobile home park. Upon KSP Arson Investigator Brian Lewis arriving on scene at Marvin Garden’s Mobile Home Park, authorities discovered Joseph Brock had been found deceased inside the residence. It was then that police began looking for Vaughn Brock, who was seen leaving the area on foot shortly after the mobile home became engulfed in flames.

Kentucky State Police said Vaughn Brock was captured Wednesday at an apartment complex on Mill Creek Drive in Keavy, about 11 miles south of London. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
