District Court Judge and Leitchfield resident, Judge Kenneth H. Goff II, has been nominated to fill the 46th Judicial Circuit Judgeship left vacant by the death of Judge Robert A. Miller in September 2018.

The 46th Judicial Circuit covers Grayson, Breckinridge and Meade Counties.

Along with Goff, nominated for the position by the Judicial Nominating Commission were the Breckinridge County Attorney, Bradley S. Butler, of Harned, and the Meade County Attorney, Jessica B. Roberts, of Guston.

The Judicial Nominating Commission, led by Chief Justice of Kentucky John D. Minton Jr., announced the nominations on Monday. A letter naming the three nominees is sent to Gov. Matt Bevin for review, after which Bevin has 60 days to appoint a replacement.

Circuit Court is the court of general jurisdiction that hears civil matters involving more than $5,000, capital offenses and felonies, divorces, adoptions, termination of parental rights, land dispute title cases, and contested probate cases.
