Private Pesticide Applicator Trainings

December 17, 2018 @ 5:00 pm

The Grayson County Extension Service will host several trainings for any person whose Private Pesticide Applicator card has expired, or will expire in 2018, or that needs a license to purchase pesticides for spraying fruits, vegetables or agriculture crops. Persons that are growing fruits and vegetables to sell, and are using a non-restricted pesticide, such as Sevin, are required to obtain a pesticide card. This requirement is for the protection of the producer and the consumer. Pesticide cards are valid for 3 years.

A Private Pesticide Applicator Training will be held on January 10, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and also at the Winter Grain Workshops on December 17th at 5:00 p.m. and on January 22nd at 9:00 a.m. These dates give you three opportunities to renew your Pesticide Card at the Extension Office, with both evening and morning sessions available. Please note that advanced registration is required for each of the three meetings, as the two Winter Grain Workshops will include a meal. Please call the Extension Office at (270) 259-3492 if you would like to register for one of these sessions. You should park in the back of the building and enter in the West entrance door, with additional parking available at Potter’s Hope Church, next to the Extension Office building.
