
J.W. Dennison, age 80, passed away Sunday, (November 11, 2018) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
J.W. was born on March 15, 1938, in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Stanley Chancellor and Gladys Opal Carter Dennison. He enjoyed gardening, farming, going to the weekly flea markets, walking, and spending time with his family, especially his beautiful grandchildren. He was a member of Leitchfield First Baptist Church, and served as a deacon for many years, and a former member of the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge.
J.W. is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patty Tabor Dennison. Other survivors include one daughter, Nancye Lucas (Keith); three grandchildren, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Eli Lucas; two sisters, Donna Wooden, and Dorothy Armstrong; two brothers-in-law, Earl Ray Probus, and Kenny Tabor; three sisters-in-law, Ann Dennison, Kathy Dennison, and Sue Tabor. He is also survived by many friends and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve, Jackie and infant Randall Dennison; one sister Jo Ann Probus; brothers-in-law, Clinton Armstrong, David Wooden, and Bobby Tabor.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16th, at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, in Leitchfield, KY, Bro. Doug King, Bro George Smith, and Bro Billy Carter will be officiating. Burial will be in Hanging Rock Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 15th, and from 9:00 am Friday until the time of the service at the First Baptist Church.
