
Mary MyLinda “Linda” Simon, 89, of Brownsville passed away at 6:30 AM, October 25, 2018 at Hospice House of Southern KY.
The Edmonson County native was a Homemaker, worked at Phillip Morris, and Community Action Agency in Brownsville. She was the daughter of the late James Ebon and Mary Ellen Duvall Hayes. She was preceded in death by husbands Charles Louis Simon and Denby Huff, one son Michael Terry Simon, two grandsons, Derrick and Dustin Simon, five brothers, Otis, Louis and G.W. “Wash”, Junior and Johnnie Hayes and one sister Lillie Young.
Funeral services will be held at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 29, 2018 with burial in St. John Cemetery. Rosary at 6:30 Sunday evening and visitation Sunday 1-8 PM and Monday 9 AM -12:30 PM at Gravil Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Sims (Keith Sadler) of Alavton and one son Joseph Leonard Simon of Sunfish. Six grandchildren, Jennifer Sims (Greg Renfro), Sheri Ann Sims, Julie Kitchens (Chris), Stephanie Salings (Landon), Trisha Woodcock (Buddy), Eric Simon. Fourteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and three sisters Dorothy Fredrick, Betty Ann Jennings and Susan Burns.
