Edmonson County officials respond to possible threat to Edmonson Co. Middle School

On Thursday, Edmonson County officials were told that there was a threat to students at Edmonson County Middle School.

According to Edmonson County Superintendent Patrick Waddell, school officials received a tip about a possible hit-list created by a student, according to media reports. The student was located and taken off a school bus, with the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office and Brownsville Police Department conducting an investigation.

According to authorities, no hit-list was discovered and the threat was deemed not credible.
