The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced an immediate bridge closure in Grayson County.
According to cabinet spokesman Chris Jessie, Eveleigh Bridge on Hwy 259 north at the Grayson/Breckinridge County line has been closed due to a potential structural issue.
Engineers will inspect the structure underneath the bridge deck on Tuesday to determine the extent of the structural issue, and decide if traffic can safely cross the bridge.
Cabinet officials will update the public on Tuesday following the inspection.
Warning signs and detours are posted.
