Hosparus Health of Central Kentucky needs volunteers to work in its Elizabethtown Thrift Shoppe and will offer free training on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hosparus Health Elizabethtown office, 105 Diecks Drive. Thrift Shoppe volunteers help with receiving, sorting and pricing donations; placing and straightening items on the sales floor; and assisting customers. Participants are invited to register for the training that works best with their schedules. Registration is required prior to the session. Training may be postponed if there is not a sufficient number of applicants. Volunteers must be in good health, have available transportation and complete a screening, training and application process. All volunteers also must receive an annual flu shot, which will be provided by Hosparus. To register, contact Annette Jones at 270-737-6300 or ajones@hosparus.org.
