The Grayson County Extension Service will host two trainings for anyone whose Private Pesticide Applicator card has expired or that needs a license to purchase pesticides for spraying fruits, vegetables, or agriculture crops. The two separate trainings will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 9:00 a.m. and repeated at 5:00 p.m. Persons that are growing fruits and vegetables to sell, and are using a non-restricted pesticide, such as Sevin, are required to obtain a pesticide card. This requirement is for the protection of the producer and the consumer. Pesticide cards are valid for 3 years. Please call the Extension Office at 270-259-3492 to register for this training.
