
A Leitchfield man wanted for absconding from parole has been arrested.
Leitchfield Police Department Officer Brian Jennings and Det. Eric Miller were dispatched to a squatting complaint on Spring Street Monday evening at approximately 6:40, according to the arrest citation.
Upon arriving at the scene, police made contact with 52-year-old Ronald L. Haycraft, who had absconded from parole following his conviction on a felony drug charge and was wanted in Ohio County on a warrant with a $12,500 bond.
Haycraft was arrested and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
According to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Haycraft was convicted in Ohio County for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in 2021. He was released from custody on May 13, 2021, and is on parole until July 31, 2028.
Haycraft has had various hometowns listed in arrest reports over the last several years, including Leitchfield, Clarkson and Louisville.
