
A teenager has died after being ejected during a crash with a tractor-trailer.
The crash occurred Sunday morning at approximately 7:50 on Hwy 90 in Wayne Co.
The Kentucky State Police investigation showed that a 2008 Cadillac CTS, being driven by 19-year-old Seth A. Bolen, of Monticello, was turning onto Hwy 90 about three miles southeast of Monticello when he pulled into the path of a Freightliner semi-truck, being driven by 34-year-old Demario D. Adams, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Bolen and his passenger, 18-year-old Elijah W. Bolden, of Monticello, were ejected from the vehicle.
Elijah Bolen was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Wayne Co. Coroner’s Office. Seth Bolen was airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center with serious injuries.
Adams was also airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center but was later released.
KSP Det. Shane Bowling is leading the ongoing investigation.
