
Eugene Whobrey, age 94, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Saturday, (April 19, 2025) at his residence.
He was born on June 14, 1930, in Big Clifty, KY, the son of the late John and Ruby Miller Whobrey.
Eugene was a farmer who loved working on tractors, fishing, and loved his family. He married his wife, Florence Pence Whobrey on September 12, 1956, and together they raised four children, and had a wonderful life. He was a member of Holly Baptist Church.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Florence Whobrey; children, Kathryn (Dale) Haycraft, Michael (Lorri) Whobrey, Vickie (Joe) McKinney, and Angie (John) McCreery, all of Grayson County; six grandchildren, Holle Cannon, Ashley Vertrees, Emily Padgett, Jeremy Haycraft, Sean McKinney, and Luke McCreery; nine great-grandchildren, Spencer, Scott, Finn, Natalie, James, Will, Maddie,
Henry, and Zoe; and one brother, Charles Whobrey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (April 24, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Allen Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services
