Rebecca Susan (Becky) Higgs York, 73, of Bowling Green passed away April 14, 2025 at Cardinal Landing Memory Care in Bowling Green.

The Edmonson County native was a 1970 graduate of Edmonson County High School, was a secretary for former WKU Sports Information Director Paul Just, a sales associate for Dillards, a homemaker and caregiver, a member of Asphalt Church of Christ and attended Shadyland Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Emil York Higgs and Maxine Pile Higgs and the wife of the late William Jackson York. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Alan York Higgs; grandparents, Francis & Lillie Pile and Jesse & Sonora Higgs; an aunt, Wanda Lee Seabolt; and a cousin, Greg Hummel.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Shadyland Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday.

Surviving are two sisters, Amy Farmer and Nancy Higgs both of Brownsville; two nieces, Rachel Wilson (Bill) of Georgetown and Shelly Boyer (Jason) of Virginia Beach, VA; two great nephews, Nicholas Wilson and Michael Wilson; two cousins, Cynthia Smith (Gary) of Pennsylvania and Bill Poteet (Ann) of Merrit Island, FL; and two special little brothers, Keith White of Benton and Kelvin White of Reidland.
