Grayson County High School’s Jack Logsdon has been named Honorable Mention All-State by both the Lexington Herald-Leader and the Louisville Courier Journal.
Logsdon led the Cougars in scoring by averaging 21.0 points and 6.8 rebounds.
The sophomore had a monster postseason by adding 135 points across five games — 27.0 points per game — to help lead Grayson County to the region championship game for the first time since 2009.
Logsdon becomes the first Cougar basketball player to be recognized on the all-state team since his head coach, Travis Johnston (2009, 2010).
With his junior season upcoming, the recruiting for the star is expected to pick up. He has already been on college visits to Western Kentucky and Miami (Ohio).
Logsdon has already become the second leading scorer in program history and will enter the new year just 550 away from passing Johnston as the all-time leader.
The Cougars will begin summer basketball in early June before opening the new season in December.
