An Irvington apartment complex has been nearly destroyed by a fire.
Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the blaze Wednesday afternoon at approximately 5:45 at Park Place apartments on Landon Lane, off Hwy 60 in southwest Irvington.
Flames were coming from a 12-unit building when firefighters arrived, according to WXBC.com. Firefighters remained on scene for several hours.
Part of the building was a total loss, while a section of the apartment complex suffered water damage. A separate building with an additional 12 units was undamaged.
Affected residents were provided housing in Brandenburg.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation as of late Wednesday evening.
