Only days after rescuing nine people and two dogs from Green Farm cabins, the Falls of Rough Fire Department delivered medication to people stranded by floodwaters.
Chief David Mercer, Captain Austin Massina and firefighter Troy Mercer were on Rough River Lake on Wednesday “delivering needed meds to those unable to get out due to high water,” the fire department said.
“Many of our neighbors are affected by the high water and we want you to know we are here to help,” the fire department said in a social media post.
There are currently several roadways in the Falls of Rough area that remain impassable at points, including but not limited to Fentress Lookout Road, Bluebird Road, Paradise Acres, Circle Hill Road as well as a few homes on Green Farms Road.
The Falls of Rough Fire Dept. said if someone has a “true emergency” to call 911, but if anyone has “delivering needs,” contact the fire department at 270-589-7171.
