
Authorities in Breckinridge County are looking for a man who, while fleeing police, crashed head-on into a vehicle.
The incident happened on Monday when a truck stolen on Friday was spotted by the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office stationary on Hwy 60 between Garfield and Harned. The vehicle was sporting a different paint scheme and license plate, according to WXBC.com.
As deputies approached the truck, a man entered the vehicle and fled with the hood up. The fleeing man then hit a vehicle head-on, injuring the driver, Joshua Robbins. As deputies checked on Robbins, the man who stole the truck exited the stolen truck and fled on foot.
Robbins was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital but has since been released.
Police have issued the following description of the man suspected of stealing the truck and crashing head-on into Robbins – The suspect has a stocky build and was wearing a red sweatshirt or hoodie. He appeared to be wearing only socks, as boots were recovered from the scene.
Police also believe the suspect may have been picked up on Freedom Church Road.
