Homeowners and churches suffering damage from floodwaters should contact Grayson County Emergency Management.

“If your home sustained damage during this event, we would like to come do an assessment so that you may be eligible for assistance,” GCEM said.

FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to Kentucky to supplement response efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding beginning on April 2.

In order to qualify for FEMA assistance, a damage assessment must be completed by GCEM.

Contact GCEM by emailing  graysonemergency@gmail.com, or calling 270-259-3159 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday.

Please include name, address, phone number, a brief description of damage, and no more than four pictures.

It is important, GCEM said, for anyone seeking assistance to document damages with pictures for future claims.
