2 Hardin Co. teens killed in rollover crash

Two Hardin County teenagers have died in a rollover crash.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened Saturday morning at approximately 2:20 in the 3700 block of St. John Road (Hwy 1357).

The sheriff’s office said the investigation showed that a vehicle, being driven by a juvenile from Eastview, was traveling south on St. John Road when the driver lost control, as the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over multiple times.

The driver and a front seat passenger were ejected.

The driver, identified by WDRB.com as 17-year-old Gerald Lyons, was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The ejected passenger, identified by WDRB.com Tristen Shrouder, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Both Lyons and Shrouder were students at Central Hardin High School, according to a statement by Hardin County Schools.

Two other passengers were transported to Baptist Health Hardin with non-life threatening injuries.
