A woman has been charged with kidnapping and other counts after a missing juvenile was found in her attic.
On Friday morning at approximately 12:30, the Scottsville Police Department and Allen County Sheriff’s Office received information that a missing juvenile was at a home on Parkway Drive. Upon officers arriving at the residence, they made contact with 42-year-old Donna M. Spengler, Scottsville police said.
While being questioned, Spengler told law enforcement that she was the only person at the home. During a search though, police located the missing juvenile in her attic.
Spengler was arrested and charged with kidnapping (minor), first-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, custodial interference, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
The juvenile was lodged in the Warren Co. Juvenile Detention Center under a court order.
