A Grayson County man granted pre-trial diversion on drug charges was arrested on a drug trafficking warrant.
Grayson County Deputy Andy Cast arrested 23-year-old Travis C. Wieland Thursday night at approximately 10:45 at FiveStar Food Mart on South Main Street in Leitchfield, where the suspect works.
Cast made the arrest on the strength of a warrant obtained by the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office accusing Wieland of drug trafficking.
While searching Wieland, Cast located methamphetamine on his person.
Wieland, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, was granted pre-trial diversion in 2024 after his arrest in January 2023 for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Leitchfield PD Officer Wally Ritter assisted at the scene.
Wieland was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
