Rev. Larry “Sonny” E. Fields, 91, of Clarkson, passed away Monday March 10, 2025 at the Springview Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
He was born in Upton to Clyde and Opal Pauline Caswell Fields. He was a farmer and a master plumber. Sonny was a long time member of Pine Knob United Baptist Church and became an ordained minister in 1962 (63 years).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Dorothy Fields, two sons, Timothy Fields and Eric Fields, parents, two brothers, Rev. Carlon Fields and Ronnie Fields, and a sister, Melva Copelin.
He is survived by his loving son, Larry R (Janie) Fields of Clarkson, KY, grandchildren, Jeffery Fields, Turetta Skees, Julie Decker, Dana Poteet, Joe Fields, Jessica Jordan, Adam Fields, Stacy Doyle, Brennon Fields, and Cary Martin, three sisters, Norvella (T.W.) Copelin, Janice (Hubert) Riggs, and Rita (Kenton) Riggs, one brother, Wendell (Judy) Fields, and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Fields and Burlene Fields.
Funeral Services will be held Friday March 14, 2025 1:00 pm EST at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton, KY with Bro. Lenny Hogan officiating. Burial will be held at the Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm EST or Friday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm EST at the Manakee Funeral Home in Upton.
