A skull and other human remains have been discovered in Menifee County near where human remains were found in December 2024.
A human skull was found off Hwy 460 near the small town of Means on Friday. Authorities, including Menifee County deputies, the Menifee Co. Coroner’s Office and Kentucky Fish & Wildlife searched the area but found no other remains.
On Saturday, though, Fish & Wildlife personnel continued the search and located the “majority of a human’s remains” nearby, according to the Menifee Co. Sheriff’s Office.
All the remains were transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for identification and cause of death.
K105 reported in early December 2024 that human remains were found, also along Hwy 460 near Means.
At the time, police did not know whether the remains were that of a male or female or how long the remains had been at the location. No other information has since been released regarding the discovery.
