A missing Hopkins County man has been found deceased in his vehicle in floodwaters.
The body of 67-year-old William Brown, of Dawson Springs, was discovered Thursday afternoon off Reddins Boat Dock Road in Caldwell County, according to the Dawson Springs Police Department. He was found in his car, a 2007 Honda Accord, in “high water.”
He had last been seen on Monday, police said.
The Caldwell County Coroner’s Office and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office are investigating Brown’s death.
On Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear reported a new weather-related death in Livingston County, increasing the death toll to 15 lives lost after the state received an enormous amount of rainfall last weekend. Brown’s death would be the 16th death since Friday, Feb. 14, either directly or indirectly related to the weekend’s rain.
