A 21-year-old man was killed and a 26-year-old airlifted after a truck collided head-on with a semi-truck.

The accident occurred on Tuesday morning at approximately 6:30 on Hwy 127 in Clinton County, according to Kentucky State Police.

The state police investigation showed that 21-year-old Andrew Ridge, of Albany, was traveling south in a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 when he left the southbound lane and crossed both northbound lanes before entering the northbound shoulder.

Ridge, police said, attempted to drive the Dodge back to the southbound lanes when he collided head-on with a 2022 Mack semi-truck, being driven by 26-year-old Dylan Tuck, of Albany.

Ridge was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner’s Office. Tuck sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing and being led by Sr. Trooper Weston Sullivan.
