Sheila Lynn Mashburn, age 67, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Thursday, (February 6, 2025) at her home, surrounded by family.
She was born on August 16, 1957 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Wilson and Laura Dockery Lindsey.
She worked at Midway Pharmacy and enjoyed scrapbooking, decorating, arranging and growing flowers, attending Women’s Bible Study and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the New Harvest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Sam Mashburn of Caneyville; two sons, Josh Mashburn (Shaunna) of Hinesville, GA & Ben Mashburn (Reniece) of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Michael, Donta, Tylila. Brynleigh & Blaze; two brothers, George Lindsey (Deanna) of Louisville, KY & Jordan Lindsey (Stacy) of Houston, TX; and four sisters, Pat Mudd (Donald) of Caneyville, Kathy Lindsey & Cheri Lindsey, both of Morgantown, KY, and Charlotte Crume (Mark) also of Caneyville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Freddie & Brad Lindsey, and a sister, Sylvia Boyette.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (February 12, 2025) at the New Harvest Baptist Church in Caneyville. Bro. Craig Schoenberger will be officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and at New Harvest Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
