A man has been jailed after running naked with a sledgehammer outside an Elizabethtown hotel.
The Elizabethtown Police Department on Sunday night at approximately 10:30 arrested 33-year-old Jason S. Hupp, of Nashville, after he was found outside the Hampton Inn, on Executive Drive near the I-65 interchange, running naked while carrying a sledgehammer, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.
When police arrived at the scene, Hupp was speaking nonsense and displayed bloodshot eyes as he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. When asked how much he had to drink, the suspect responded, “A lot,” according to the Elizabethtown newspaper.
As he was being transported to jail, Hupp asked for another beer.
Hupp was charged with first-degree indecent exposure and public intoxication and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
