Lester P. Saltsman, age 78, of Blowtown, KY, passed away Thursday, (January 30, 2025) at the Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born on September 12, 1946 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Henry and Dorothy Willis Saltsman.
He was a heavy equipment operator and member of Local 181 in Henderson, KY. “Pop” enjoyed farming, and he was an avid fox hunter. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He married the love of his life, Thelma Heavrin Saltsman on November 23, 1970. He was a member of Blowtown Church.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Saltsman; son, Tim Saltsman and wife, Deanna; step-daughter, Tammy Reynolds; two brothers, Arnett (Annell) and Wendell (Rita) Saltsman; two sisters, Maxie Green and Louise Alvey (JR); three grandchildren, Tiffany, Cody, and Michala; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (February 6, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Neil Carnes will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wortham Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
