A Monroe County man has been busted with nearly 1,000 fentanyl pills and cocaine.
The Tompkinsville Police Department said an officer conducted a stop on 20-year-old Ta’Quan E. Howard, of Tompkinsville, for a minor traffic violation.
Upon making contact with Howard, police said officers detected a strong odor of marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, police located 996 M30 fentanyl pills, over six grams of cocaine, $732 in cash, and marijuana.
Howard was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl, cocaine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
