A woman has died in an Edmonson County house fire.
Multiple fire departments responded to the blaze Saturday morning at approximately 1:05 in the 1500 block of Brier Creek Road, according to a report by WBKO.com.
The Edmonson County Coroner’s Office told the Bowling Green television station that the deceased has been identified as 72-year-old Vanessa Thompson. Her family members made it safely out of the home.
The state Fire Marshal’s Office is working to determine the cause of the fire.
