An eastern Kentucky man has died after a tree fell on his truck.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident Thursday at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Hwy 60 near Fleming Fork in Carter County.
The state police investigation determined that 38-year-old Daniel Stone, of Grayson, was traveling east on Hwy 60 when a tree fell onto his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. Stone was ejected from the truck when the tree struck the vehicle.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Carter County Coroner’s Office.
Stone’s daughter, Mikaylah Stone, said in a social media post: “Dad was an amazing man who tried to help as many people as he could. He was a wonderful person and loved each and every one of you.”
KSP Det. Nathan Carter is leading the investigation.
