A Beaver Dam man has been nabbed with items stolen from a residence during a burglary.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded Monday at approximately 9:40 p.m. to a Fordsville residence on a theft complaint.
Shortly after taking the report, deputies located the suspect, 20-year-old Chance A. Hall, of Beaver Dam, nearby. When police made contact with Hall, deputies observed the stolen items in his vehicle “in plain view,” the sheriff’s office said.
Hall was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking (more than $500, less than $1,000).
He was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to the jail, less than three hours after deputies responded to the theft complaint.
Hall is being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
