Odelean Bradley Hill, age 91, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (January 11, 2025) at Baptist Health Hardin Elizabethtown, KY. She was born on November 6, 1933 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Roy and Elsie Clemons Bradley. Odelean was the wife of the late Alfred “Bunk” Hill.
Odelean spent her life as a hard-working farmer’s wife, mother and role model to her seven children and their families. She worked for many years at a sewing factory after her youngest child reached school age. She was a devout Catholic who strongly believed in the power of prayer, with the Holy Rosary being her prayer of choice.
She had been an active member of the St. Joseph Church Altar Society, focusing primarily on helping to provide funeral meals for bereaved families.
She is survived by her children: Mary Clementine McStoots, EmmaJean Clark, Alfreda Weedman (Randy), Jovita Brangers (Darrell), James Dean Hill, and Greda Larimore (Terry). Odelean is also survived by her grandchildren: Caleb Hill (Mandy Warf), Shaylin Clark (Jennifer), Jordan Clark, Jenna Belcher (Stuart), Andrea VanMeter (Shane), Adam Henderson (Hillary), Brayden Clark, EmaLee Clark, Jaydence Clark, Wayne Reed, Jenisha McStoots, Mary McStoots, Brandy Weedman-Lowe (Jeremy), Jeremy Weedman, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Ann Higdon and Tony Bradley, both of Hardin County.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Gerard Hill; son-in-law, Jonathan Glynn Clark; two granddaughters, Heather Dawn McStoots and Donesha Marie McStoots; brothers, Reggie, Willard, Hillman, Raymond, and Hershel Bradley; and her sisters, Margaret Reed, Theresa Gilpin, Mary Lou Cundiff, and Clara Blackwood.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (January 17, 2025) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (204 N Main) in Leitchfield. Father Suneesh Matthew will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main) from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church until time of funeral mass. All times are Central Standard time.
