An eastern Kentucky man has been charged with shooting and killing his brother-in-law.
John Lang, 34, of Woodbine, is accused of fatally shooting his brother-in-law, 43-year-old Richard Willoughby, of Lexington, on Saturday at Lang’s home on East Hwy 6, according to a report by WYMT.com.
Other people at the home detained Lang until the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office arrived. When police made it to the home, they discovered Willoughby’s body on the kitchen floor.
“A verbal argument had ensued and a shooting occurred between the two, one of those being deceased,” Sheriff Bill Elliotte told media outlets.
Lang was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held on a $1 million cash bond in the Whitley County Detention Center.
