An Adair County man is facing drug trafficking and gun charges after fleeing police.
Kentucky State Police said that on Tuesday night at approximately 10:30, a trooper attempted to stop a 2018 Ford Escape on Blue Hole Road in Taylor County for a traffic violation. The vehicle, being driven by 46-year-old Bradley Streeval, of Knifely, fled the trooper onto Crooked Creek Road in Adair County.
While fleeing on Crooked Creek, Streeval drove his vehicle into a field and fled on foot. He was captured after a “short foot pursuit,” KSP said.
Based on the charges, during a search of Streeval and his vehicle, police located methamphetamine and a firearm.
He was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), four counts of felony wanton endangerment of a police officer, two counts of fleeing or evading police (on foot, motor vehicle), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, second-degree criminal mischief, and possession of drug paraphernalia along with numerous moving and non-moving violations.
Streeval was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
