Tracey Beth Glasscock, age 64, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on Christmas Day, 1960, the daughter of Mickey and Shirley Brown Hall who preceded her in death.
Left to honor her memory is her husband of 38 years, Jon Grant Glasscock, son Matthew Glasscock (Peyton), daughter Elizabeth Glasscock, grandchildren, Mya, Quintin, and Zoey Glasscock, all of Leitchfield, a sister Patti Andriakos (Ted) of Owensboro, and a sister-in-law Melanie Glasscock Simpson-Conley (Robert) of Paris, Kentucky. Other survivors are a special Aunt Gloria White,
Uncles Rick and Steve Brown as well as several cousins, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that were all special to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Hall, grandparents Cap and Audrey Brown and Irene Hall, and a niece Alexandra Simpson.
Tracey worked for 28 years with the Clayton Watkins Construction/Wabuck Development Group, where she was Vice President of Development. Throughout her career she built relationships with agencies which helped create thousands of affordable housing units across Kentucky, serving single parents seeking to further their education, individuals with addiction, at risk children, individuals with
intellectual disabilities, and a program to move autistic individuals toward independent living.
She was instrumental in obtaining the resources to develop an addiction recovery center in her hometown. Her calm demeanor, passion, emotional intelligence, and determination were a winning combination in making concepts a reality.
At its annual conference in August, 2024, Kentucky Housing Corporation presented Tracey with its prestigious Dorothy J. Williams Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in providing affordable housing to the people of Kentucky.
Tracey enjoyed working with her hands to create projects and gardening with her granddaughter. Her greatest accomplishment came on May 10 th , 2010, when after a sleepless night of begging, weeping, and prayer, the Lord saved her soul just as dawn began to break.
She was baptized into the fellowship of Claggett United Baptist Church where she remained a member until death. She was able to see her husband, children, and the older grandchildren saved as well, their hearts prepared to meet her in heaven. There is no greater measure of success.
The bible says, “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Tracey was above all things a fixer, and she enjoyed being that. She laid down her life to take care of her husband and children. She laid down her life to raise her grandchildren. She laid down her life to help those who were unable to help themselves, have a place to live. She laid down her life to help her business associates have the resources to succeed. And above all … in the early hours of dawn some fourteen years ago, she laid down her life to the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Because she did, He has laid up a crown of righteousness for her.
