Alma Dean Bratcher, age 69, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Friday, (January 3, 2025) at her home. She was born on April 27, 1955 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Gertrude Mudd Hack.
She was a teacher’s aide who enjoyed crossword puzzles, talking to friends and family on the phone, and reading her Bible. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Scotty Dale Bratcher (Melinda) of Caneyville; her daughter, Amanda Kilgore (Charles) also of Caneyville; a grandchild, Daniel Scott Bratcher; four step-grandchildren, Amber Morrow, Brandon Kilgore, Casey Kilgore & Hannah Reams; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Reynolds. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Roger Bratcher; and six brothers, Amos, Larry, Hershell, Richard, Roger, & Clifton Hack.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, (January 11, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Weedman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Bratcher Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
