David “Ryan” Clemons, age 45, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 31, 2024) in Leitchfield, KY. He was born on April 8, 1979 in Elizabethtown, KY, the son of David and Betty Povey
Clemons.
He was a long time employee of GM. His boys, Grant and Carter, were the light of his life. A loving and proud dad to his two sons, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending countless hours doing baseball drills. He was an avid baseball fan and even more of an inspiring coach. He believed in every athlete he coached fiercely, giving each the confidence to improve and reach their goals. He spent most of his time at BG East coaching, setting up streaming video and so much more.
He was extremely loyal to everyone in his life. If you needed a friend or a helping hand he was there. He will be deeply missed by everyone in his life he touched.
Ryan was a devoted father, a beloved son, and a cherished brother. He is survived by his two sons, Grant Edward Clemons and Carter Glen Clemons of Bowling Green, KY; his parents, David and Betty Clemons of Leitchfield, KY; one sister, Natalie Crume (Dustin) of Rockfield, KY; nephews, Cooper Crume and Griffin Crume; and a niece, Hadley Crume. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, (January 4, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Gregg Farrell will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Benedict Cemetery located in Wax, KY.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bowling Green Youth Baseball League, reflecting Ryan’s commitment to nurturing young talent in the sport he loved.
Ryan’s legacy of dedication to his family, his work, and his community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
