A Hardin County man has died in a single-vehicle accident near the Hardin/Breckinridge County line.
The accident occurred just before midnight on Saturday in the 3200 block of Constantine Road, approximately five miles southwest of Custer. The News-Enterprise reports that 30-year-old Cody Elliott, of Rineyville, driving an unknown vehicle, left the roadway for unknown reasons.
Elliott then overcorrected and crossed the roadway before hitting a tree head-on, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office told the Elizabethtown newspaper.
Elliott was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The accident investigation is ongoing and being led by the Hardin Co. Sheriff’s Office.
