A former Grayson County deputy has been recognized as deputy of the year in Ohio County.
Ohio Co. Sheriff Adam Wright announced on social media that Deputy Andy Vincent was selected the 2024 Ohio Co. Deputy of the Year.
“First off, I’m very honored even to be considered by my peers and colleagues for the award,” Vincent told K105 upon winning the 2020 award. “The award itself, however, is a reflection of all the hard work the men and women of the sheriff’s office put in on a day-to-day basis; from the ladies in the office to the sheriff himself. Without their help and hard work, I would not have accomplished what I did throughout the year.”
In 2018, Vincent won the Governor’s Award for Impaired Driving Enforcement while a deputy in Ohio County.
Vincent began his law enforcement career with the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office under then-Sheriff Tracy Beatty in March 2015. He moved to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office in December 2019 before going back to Ohio County in the summer of 2021.
A 2009 graduate of Edmonson County High School, Vincent is a Campbellsville University alum, graduating in 2013 with a degree in criminal justice administration.
