Billy Ray Mudd Sr. Blanton, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 24, 2024) at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY. He was born on March 17, 1950 in Leitchfield, KY.
He retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville after 35 years. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing, singing, riding his motorcycle, dancing and football. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Patriots. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful father who loved his family and friends.
Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from 1968 to 1970 and he was also a member of the American Legion Post 81.
He is survived by his wife, Nedra Foreman Mudd; three daughters, Gina Masden (Dale) of Elizabethtown, Crystal Willis of Leitchfield, and Robbin Foster of Elizabethtown; one son, Billy Ray Mudd Jr. (Dena) of Caneyville, KY; one step-daughter, Beth Elmore (Shannon), one step-son, Michael Foreman; twelve grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Fenwick (Sonny) and Mary
Lou Fentress (Jim); and two brothers, Jim Blanton of Bowling Green and David Blanton of Brownsville.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Phelps Mudd; three sisters Carol Mills, Susan Tucker, and Vicki Mills.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (December 31, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time
of services.
