Kentucky State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Logan County.
The incident happened Wednesday morning at approximately 1:00 when deputies responded to a disturbance at a Lewisburg-Edwards Road residence in Lewisburg. Upon arriving at the home, police learned a male at the residence had an arrest warrant.
While interacting with the armed male, he pointed a gun “in the direction of the deputies,” according to state police. A deputy fired at the man, striking him once. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Logan County Coroner’s Office.
The Kentucky State Police Critical Incident Response Team is leading the investigation.
