A Kentucky school bus driver has been accused of “soliciting explicit images from (a) minor” and possession of child pornography, according to Kentucky State Police.
The investigation began when the Ashland Police Department discovered inappropriate text messages between 29-year-old Ashland Independent Schools bus driver Jeremy Irvin and a juvenile.
The investigation resulted in troopers executing a search warrant at Irvin’s Greenup County residence on Monday. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to a forensic lab for examination.
Irvin was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sex performance (victim under the age of 12) and promoting a minor in a sex performance (victim under the age of 12).
He was terminated by the school district on Monday, state police said.
Irvin was lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
