Human remains have been found in eastern Kentucky.
The remains were found in Menifee County on Thursday in a rural area along Hwy 460, just west of the Means community and approximately 12 miles southeast of Mt. Sterling.
Police are unsure if the remains are that of a male or female, or how long the remains had been at the location, according to a report by WKYT.com.
The body was transported to the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
Kentucky State Police is leading the investigation.
